Stop supporting Sri Lankan Army: Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam
New Delhi, Feb 6 (UNI) Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam today took out a rally in the capital, demanding that India desist from providing assistance to the Sri Lankan Army (SLA) and recognise the legitimate rights of Tamils in the island nation.
Kazhagam President Kolathur T S Mani said in a statement that India's assistance could encourage SLA to carry out genocide of Tamils.
He said he had submitted to the Prime Minister and the Defence Minister a memorandum signed by one million people in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry seeking stoppage of all kinds of assistance to SLA by India.
