OPIL's Kernel oil factory in Kollam
Kottayam, Feb 6 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan will lay the foundation stone for the Rs three crore Kernel Oil Factory of the Oil Palm India Limited (OPIL) at Yeroor in Kollam district on February eight.
Talking to newspersons here today, OPIL Chairman V B Binu and Managing Director Mathew Jacob said the new factory would the first of its kind under the public sector in India.
The factory was part of the OPIL's plan to reduce edible oil shortage in the country, they said.
The factory would be commissioned within a year, they added.
