Mitsubishi announces JV with Craftsman Automation

Chennai, Feb 6 (UNI) Mitsubishi Corporation, Japan's largest general trading company and its subsidiaries have announced a joint venture with Coimbatore-based Craftsman Automation Pvt Ltd to set up 'MC Craftsman Machinery Pvt Ltd'.

The new company would offer sales and service of Industrial machinery like Mitsubishi Electrical Discharge Machine (EDM) and Mitsubishi CO2 Lazer Cutting Machine, manufactured by Mitsubishi Electric Corporation and other machineries in the field of die and mould Industry, sheet metal Industry and parts manufacturing Industry, a company release here today said.

With head office and main technical centre in Coimbatore, other branch offices and centres of MC Craftsman Machinery would be located in Chennai, Pune and New Delhi to support customers in major Industrial region.

MC Craftsman Managing Director Yoji Taguchi said "India was growing in its manufacturing development and the market size was expected to multiply many-fold in the coming years. To address this market for sales, service, spares and application support, we decided to set up a strong professional system-oriented organisation with talented and trained manpower".

"With the technical expertise and know-how of Indian market, we could not have found a more suitable partner for this venture than craftsman automation", he added.

Craftsman Automation Managing Director S Ravi said with over two decades of experience in this Industry, we have been associated with Mitsubishi Corporation for ten years now.

The entity, MC Craftsman Machinery, would cater to die and mould Industries, parts machining Industries and sheet metal Industries for their growth and to attain the global standards of quality and technology, Mr Ravi added.
