Kidney scam: accused medico, driver sent to police remand
Moradabad, Feb 6 (UNI) A local court today ordered police remand for the two accused, arrested in the recent Kidney scam, which allegedly had its network in as many as 48 countries.
Dr K K Agarwal, an anesthetic, and his driver Jagdish were nabbed a couple of days back from Alwar (Rajasthan).
Police presented the duo before Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Sri Raja's court and asked for their three days remand.
The court has, however, ordered two days of police remand for the accused medico and 30 hours of remand for his chauffeur.
The duration of the police remand would begin from 1200 hrs tomorrow.
Meanwhile, police was grilling another accused Dr Upendra, who had revealed that the absconding prime accused, Dr Amit, had links with several ministers.
