Fog causes disruption in power in Delhi, Northern region
New Delhi, Feb 6 (UNI) The dense fog that enveloped the Delhi skyline this morning also caused disruption of power in the city and some states of the Northern region, Delhi Transco Officials said.
''Due to the heavy fog, 400 KV double circuit lines of Delhi Transco Limited (Ballabhgarh -Bawana, Bawana-Bamnauli and Manadola - Bawana) tripped around 0200 hours along with 27 other 400 KV circuits in the Northern Region and HVDC Circuit between Rehand and Dadri, causing transmission constraints in the various states in Northern region,''a Transco spokesperson said.
Also, affected were two sub Stations in Delhi viz- Bawana and Bamnauli, causing disruption of supply in West, North and North -West parts of Delhi.
''The system was normalised by 1100 hours,''the spokesperson said.
