Dy SP sustains injury in an encounter with the gangsters

Betiah, Feb 06 (UNI) A Deputy Superintendent of police(Dy SP) sustained serious injury in an encounter with the gangsters at Gandak Diara under Nautan police station area in West Champaran district this morning.

Police sources here said the gangsters fled with a two-wheeler from a teacher late last night. A police team led by Dy SP(Sadar) Alok, conducted raids at Gandak Diara area.

In the resulting exchange of fire Mr Alok was injured and rushed to a local private hospital.

However, the gangsters managed to escape the site, sources said adding all the exit routes were sealed and raids were on to nab the gangsters.
