City's smokey Autos to run on LPG

Chandigarh, Feb 6 (UNI) To check pollution and encourage clean fuel in the city, the Chandigarh Administration has decided to replace the existing Petrol/diesel driven Auto Rickshaws with LPG Auto Rickshaws.

An official release said the UT Administration would issue 500 permits to the LPG driven Auto Rickshaws however, if more than 500 applications were received, the permits would be granted by holding draw of lots as per conditions of the Contract Carriage Permit (Part-B).
