Azad for supply of essential commodities in snow-affected areas
Jammu, Feb 6 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad today asked the administration to ensure early restoration of essential supplies, including power and water supply, in the snow hit areas of the state.
Reviewing the situation of the snow hit areas through telephonic conversation, Mr. Azad enquired about the post-snowfall situation from all the Deputy Commissioners of the districts.
The Chief Minister has asked the Deputy Commissioners concerned to take all measures to ensure that people did not suffer on account of disruption in supplies.
However, the instructions have been issued by Mr. Azad to clear snow in the districts and major link roads on priority to restore plying of public transport.
