Pondy: Admn to bear edu expenses of Adi Dravidars

Puducherry, Feb 6: The Puducherry administration is taking steps to bear the education expenses of economically weaker students, who desire to pursue higher education, Welfare Minister M Kandasamy said today.

Inaugurating a training programme here for IAS entrance examination to 20 Adi dravidar students on behalf of the Puducherry Adi Dravidar Developmnent Corporation, Mr Kandasamy said steps would be taken to release the funds immediately after the applications were received.

The Special Component Plan (SCP) fund would be fully utilised for the development of the Dalits from next year, he added.
