Woman raped in Nizamuddin-bound train

Pune, Feb 5 (UNI) The Pune Railway Police today arrested two persons for allegedly raping a 42-year-old woman on the Nizamuddin-bound Goa express.

Police said one Chandrakant Vitthal Jadhav (32) was alleged to have raped the woman in the train, between Sangli and Karad last night.

On hearing cries for help, passengers nabbed Jadhav and his accomplice, Sharad Appa Patole (30).

Police said the woman begged for a living at Miraj station and was mentally unstable.

A case has been registered, police said.
