Temperatures rise slightly, rainfall in isolated pockets
Kolkata, Feb 5 (UNI) As Kolkata experienced light rainfall in several areas, temperatures rose slightly with the sky remaining generally cloudy.
Alipore Met officials informed that the sky will continue to be cloudy for the next 24 hours, with possibility of light rainfall later tomorrow evening.
The minimum temperature recorded in the city was pegged at 15 degrees Celsius, which is likely to rise to about 18 degrees Celsius tomorrow, weathermen informed.
The maximum temperature was today recorded at 25.2 degrees Celsius, 4 degrees below normal.
The minimum temperature appreciably rose in West Bengal among the other eastern states. A few places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal experienced snowfall. The lowest minimum temperature in the state today was recorded at 8 degrees Celsius in Cooch Behar in the plains.
