SP urge Mah Governor to call Central paramilitary forces
Mumbai, Feb 5 (UNI) Samajwadi Party (SP) state president and Rajya Sabha MP Abu Asim Azmi today submitted a memorandum to Governor S M Krishna, urging him to direct the government to take strict action against Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray.
''We appeal to you to order the Government to book Raj Thackeray under the National Security Act (NSA), extern him from the city and impose a ban on his MNS,'' it said.
Stating that the North Indian migrant population in the metropolis had lost faith in the Mumbai Police, the memorandum also urged the Governor to deploy Central security forces.'' Raj Thackeray had made provocative remarks against the members of the North Indian community last week. Consequently, the violence erupted between the MNS and SP workers on Sunday and still continues without end.
