Raj Thackeray should stop activities disturbing violence:BJP
Varanasi, Feb 5 (UNI) Former BJP president Dr Murli Manohar Joshi today said Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) president Raj Thackeray was going on a wrong way and should immediately check his activities.
Talking to newsmen here, Dr Joshi said, ''We oppose the steps of the MNS leader and advise him to stop the activities that led the society towards confrontation and disturb peace and communal harmony.'' He said that Mumbai did not belong to any particular community but to the people of the country. According to the Constitution, one could settle in any part of the country.
Every effort was being made to lead the country towards social confrontation, the BJP leader said, adding Mumbai was the recent example of this.
Mr Joshi further appealed to all the political parties not to raise such issues that posed danger to the unity and integrity of the country.
The BJP leader also criticised the 1,000-km-long Noida-Ballia Ganga Express Way project, saying it would not benefit the people of Uttar Pradesh in any way.
