National Junior and Sub Junior Skiing starts at Narkanda.

Shimla, Feb 5 (UNI) National Junior and Sub Junior Alpine Skiing Championship had started today here at Narkanda in Shimla district.

About 150 participants of ten national level teams from various parts of country were participating in three-day meet.

Across the country teams from Delhi, Himachal Blue, Himachal Red, Ice Skating Club Shimla, Gulmarg, Uttrakhand, Garwal Mandal Vikas Nigam, DAMS Manali would be a main contestant in three-day meet here.

The chairperson of National Women Hockey Federation Mrs. Vidya Stokes presiding over the inaugural ceremony said that the Championship was being organised to provide boost to Snow Skiing and allied sports in country, and it will also provide opportunities and exposure to local talent, that would present country in international games.
