ETA Star Appliances in pact with Indesit
Chennai, Feb 5 (UNI) Dubai-based ETA Star Appliances, a fully owned subsidiary of the five billion US Dollar ETA Ascon Star Group, today signed a marketing agreement with Indesit to distribute the latter's home solutions products in the Indian market from March 2008.
Targeted at the young and successful double income earning Indians, who were constantly looking for open layout apartments and designer styles, Indesit would offer state-of-the-art products with exquisite styling and finish, according to a company release here.
The present Indian consumer durable market size was estimated close to seven billion US Dollars, with the market growing at 20 per cent per annum. The growth was mainly in value terms from the premium segments.
Indesit would cater to the premium segment with its range of stand alone, built in and kitchen appliances range of products. It included a full range of front loading fully automatic washing machines of five to seven kg capacity with AAA rating.
The company proposed to set up a number of Indesit brand shops, which would be a one-stop destination for consumers looking for truly world class products, the release added.
