Buddha called Dinhata firing unfortunate
Kolkata, Feb 5 (UNI) Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee today described the police firing on the Forward Bloc supporters at Dinhata in Cooch Behar district of North Bengal as unfortunate and ordered an inquiry into the incident.
In a statement, Mr Bhattacharjee termed the police firing as unfortunate and said he talked to Forward Bloc leader Ashoke Ghosh about the incident.
He also said he had asked the administration and the police to maintain peace throughout the state tomorrow.
Forward Bloc had called a 24-hour ''Bangla Bandh'' tomorrow, which has been supported by the Trinamool Congress and Congress.
