Advani to go ahead with Sankalp Yatra

New Delhi, Feb 5 (UNI) The BJP today said its Prime Ministerial nominee L K Advani will go ahead with the inaugural rally of Sankalp Yatra at Jabalpur tomorrow despite speculation that intelligence agencies has advised him not to proceed with the march.

BJP spokesman Prakash Javadekar told reporters the Jabalpur meeting would be held in a grand manner. However, the party postponed Mr Advani's February 9 Rampur meeting while the schdeule of the rest of the rallies would remain the same, he added.

''Mr Advani had gone ahead with rallies even after fundamentalists threatened him with human bombs at Coimbatore.

We will not be cowed down by such threats,'' he said.

About the postponement of rally at Rampur, where terrorists had targetted a CRPF camp killing eight jawans, Mr Javadekar said the meeting would be held at a later date as per the convenience of Mr Advani.

He, however, declined to confirm media reports that National Security Advisor M K Narayanan had met Mr Advani and asked him not to proceed with his Sankalp Rallies.

''If there is any such information, we take such information into cognisance but go ahead with our programmes,'' Mr Javedkar remarked.
