308 primary schools upgraded in Haryana

Chandigarh, Feb 5 (UNI) The Haryana government has upgarded 308 primary schools to the level of middle school.

While giving this information here today, Haryana Education Minister Mange Ram Gupta said that with a view to give special thrust on education in the Mewat area as many as 137 primary schools of the district had been upgraded.

Similarly, the state government had upgraded 19 in Ambala district, 12 in Panchkula district, seven in Rohtak district, six in Faridabad district and five in Jhajjar district.

The Education Minister said that beside this 84 Goverment primary schools of Yamunanagar district, 32 primary school of Kurukshetra district and five primary schools of Gurgoan district had also been upgraded to the level of middle school.

Mr Gupta said that state government had also sanctioned 924 new posts of teachers which included 308 posts of science, social studies and hindi teachers each respectively. He said that these posts would be filled up according to the policy of the state governmment.
