Traders in Uri lament lack of a trade centre

Uri, Feb 4, 2008 : With trade between India and Pakistan set to increase through the Muzaffarabad road link, locals in Uri in Indian Kashmir are lamenting the lack of a proper trade centre.

The road link had bolstered the spirits of the people of Uri who felt that it would provide a boost to their livelihood in this insurgency-hit area. However, their spirits have been dampened by the absence of a trade center.
