Ten low floor buses join Pub trpt fleet, total number reaches 100
New Delhi, Feb 4 (UNI) The total number of low floor buses in the public transport fleet in Delhi today reached 100 with ten new buses joining the fleet.
Delhi Transport Minister Haroop Yousuf said ten new low floor buses had arrived at the Anand Vihar Depot.
''The ten new low floor buses will operate on route number 221 between Anand Vihar and ISBT at Kashmere Gate,'' Mr Yousuf said.
He said with the latest low floor buses, the total number of such buses on the city's roads has reached 100.
Mr Yousuf said the addition of these modern and comfortable airconditioned buses to the city bus fleet would bring about a vast improvement in the public transport system in Delhi.
''About 40 to 50 new low floor buses will join the public transport fleet in Delhi every month. The number of such buses is expected to reach 500 by the end of the year,'' the Minister said.
