Sri Lankan arrested for possessing Indian passport

Chennai, Feb 4 (UNI) A Sri Lankan was arrested for possessing an Indian passport to travel to the Island nation at the Anna International terminal here today.

Airport officials said during the immigration check, Nakkern (38) was found to be carrying the passport. He was about to board a flight bound for Colombo.

The investigation further revealed that he was settled in Chennai for the past 15 years and running a grocery shop.

He was handed over to the Airport police for further investigation.
