Soon, girls may have to sign weight, pregnancy contracts to be bridesmaids!

London, Feb 4 : Bridesmaids in the UK may soon be forced by bride-to-be to sign contracts stating that they will not put on eight or get pregnant before her wedding.

The finding is based on a new poll by You and Your Wedding magazine hat found that one in five brides-to-be are increasingly getting he jitters that their maid-of-honour will let her down, that hey are seriously giving this kind of agreement a thought.

According to the poll of 1,000 women, the biggest issue that rides-to-be have is dealing with bridesmaids who put on weight, ecame pregnant or changed their hairstyles before the wedding.

You and Your Wedding magazine asked for clauses that could be added nto the contract and found that apart from these above three, rides-to-be wanted to make sure that their bridesmaids did not rink more than 10 units of alcohol or hitting on "inappropriate ale guests" - or the groom.

And, 48 percent of the respondents said that they would 'sack' heir bridesmaid if she didn't stick to the rules.

All this despite the fact that 61 per cent of brides pick a best riend to be their maid-of-honour, and 49 percent choose their ister.

"Planning weddings can be a stressful time for brides and while ur contract is meant to be tongue-in-cheek, the survey emonstrates that issues with bridesmaids are of concern to many eaders," the Telegraph quoted Colette Harris, editor of You and our Wedding magazine, as saying.

"Perhaps official contracts are the way forward for brides truggling to keep the peace."
