Rodrigues inaugurates 850-seat auditorium

Chandigarh, Feb 4 (UNI) Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator Gen (Retd) S F Rodrigues inaugurated a state-of-the-art auditorium, constructed at a cost of Rs 2.25 crore, in Government College, Sector 46, here today, The auditorium is the biggest auditorium amongst all the education institutions in the city. Covering an area of over 39000 sq ft, the three-storeyed auditorium has a seating capacity of 850 and equipped with ultra-modern lighting system.

Speaking on the occasion, General Rodrigues emphasized the need for evolving a system for proper maintenance of the infrastructure and optimally utilizing the auditorium for promoting art and cultural activities.

Advisor to the Administrator Pradip Mehra, while speaking on the occasion said that this auditorium will provide a good platform for different multipurpose ventures including inter-college competitions.
