Mortar shells and other arms and ammunition recovered in Kashmir
Srinagar Feb 4 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police today unearthed a militant hideout and recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition, including mortars in the frontier district of Kupwara.
Official sources said the police assisted by 160 Territorial Army (TA) conducted a search operation at village Haihama Batpora.
During the operation a hideout was busted, they said adding that the arms and ammunition recovered included two 105 MM mortar shell, one 7.62 mm pistol, one RPG booster, one hand grenade, three remote controlled devices, one optical site for 40 mm RC and two wireless sets. However, no one was arrested.
