DPCC to ''unmask'' BJP if MCD did not stop sealing, demolition
New Delhi, Feb 4 (UNI) The Congress in Delhi today threatened to ''unmask and expose'' the BJP if the MCD ruled by it did not immediately implement the Centre's direction to stop the sealing and demolition drive in the national capital.
An Executive Committee meeting of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC), chaired by president Jaiprakash Agarwal, here unanimously called for an immediate halt to sealing and demolition drive in the national capital.
The meeting decided that if the BJP ruled MCD did not immediately implement the Union Urban Development Ministry's direction to stop the sealing and demolition drive, the Congress cadres would fan out to block and district levels to make the people aware of the ''double standards'' of the BJP and ''expose its masked'' face.
The Congress leaders praised party president Sonia Gandhi at whose instance the Union Urban Development Ministry took the historic decision to spare the people of Delhi from the sealing and demolition drive.
Mr Agarwal briefed the party leaders about the Union Urban Development Ministry's order regarding the Delhi Special Law 2007.
