CPI(M) calls for 24-hr bandh in Binpur Assembly
Binpur. Feb 04 (UNI) The CPI (M) has called for a 24-hour bandh in Binpur Assembly area tomorrow, protesting the killing of two DYFI activists between Andharia and Singpur village here late last night.
West Midnapur District SP R.Rajshekharan said the two DYFI activists Sk Aftar Ali and Sk Mangla were returning home to Singpur on a motor cycle late last night, after the election of the Managing Committee of Binpur High School, when they were shot dead.
CPI (M) district committee member Dahar Sen alleged that the Jharkhand Party (JKP) has a hand in the murder. Chunibala Hansda MLA and leader of the JKP (Naren Group), however, denied the allegation.
The SP said a local JKP leader had been arrested and two JKP supporters have been detained for interrogation in the murder case.
