Central school student dies after falling from train
New Delhi, Feb 4 (UNI) A 14-year-old student of Central School in Rohini area of North-West Delhi died after falling from the Rajdhani Express in Faridabad, Haryana.
Pushkar, a student of Class VIII, Central School, Shalimar Bagh (TP Block), reportedly fell from the train near Banga station in Faridabad's Model Town area, according to the police.
Pushkar and his collegue Vikas allegedly fled their school on February 1 after they were caught cheating in their Science Unit Test and were made to stand outside the class by the teacher.
They had planned to go to Mumbai.
After Pushkar fell and Vikas started crying, his parents were informed by fellow passengers, through phone, who later handed him over to the General Railway Police personnel at Mathura.
School Principal A K Sharma told the media that they were simply asked to stand out of the class and no other punishment was meted out to them after they were caught copying in the class test.
Perhaps, out of fear of parents' reprimand they fled, he added.
