Bachhan cuts short his shooting schedule and flies back to Mumbai

Shimla, Feb 4 (UNI) Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachhan left for Mumbai following reports of attack on his house by a few unidentified miscreants early today, police said.

The superstar travelled to Chandigarh from here by road and boarded a plane to Mumbai from there after reports said two people on a motorcycle threw glass bottles at this residence early today.

Mr Bachhan, who was shooting here for Sujit Sircar's latest film ''Shoe Bite'' for over a week, was scheduled to stay on for another week, but following today's incident left for Mumbai in a huff.

Raj Thackeray's Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) criticised the Bollywood icon in a public meeting recently for setting up a school in Ashwiraya Rai's name in Uttar Pradesh instead of Mumbai.
