11 die due to cold wave in eastern Terai

Kathmandu, Feb 4: The death toll due to the cold wave has risen to eleven in eastern Terai, local media reports said here today.

''The chilling cold wave blowing across Saptari district from the past several days has claimed one more life, taking the death toll to 11.'' Nepal news reported. The number of cold, diarrhoea, pneumonia and cold fever patients have soared around the district, it quoted a staff member of Sagarmatha Zonal Hospital as saying.
