NPF declares first list of candidates for March 5 polls

Kohima, Feb 03: The Nagaland Peoples' Front (NPF), a major ally of the Democratic Alliance of Nagaland (DAN), has declared their first list of candidates for the March five Assembly polls to the 60-member House.

Outgoing Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio from Northern Angami-II Assembly Constituency (AC), NPF President and former Planning Minister Shurhozelie from Northern Angami-I AC, Assembly Speaker Kiyanilie Peseyie from Western Angami AC and former Home Minister Thenucho from Chozuba AC under Phek district would be fighting the polls.

Besides, sitting Congress MLA, who resigned from party, would be contesting on a NPF ticket from Ghaspani-II AC and sitting Independent candidate Imkong L Imchen has also got the NPF ticket for Koridang AC under Mokokchung district.
