Three revenue officials in Crime Branch net in Kashmir

Srinagar, Feb 2 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police Crime Branch (CB) has presented a challan in a local court against three revenue officials in a corruption case after government accorded sanction for their prosecution.

A CB spokesman said the accused included then Tehsildar Budgam Mohammad Sikender Malik, Omkar Nath Koul and Ghulam Mohammad Ganaie former revenue officials who were found involved in corruption case.

He said, according to investigation the accused have transferred state land measuring 11 kanals and 14 marlas situated at Baghwanpora Humhama costing Rs 3 crores in favour of few beneficiaries to confer undue benefits upon them.

The Commission of fraud and corruption was established against the accused and the Crime Branch accordingly presented the charge sheet against them before the Court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption Kashmir, he said.
