Three arrested for possessing Lakshmi idol

{image-CrimeScene 80 80_02022008.jpg news.oneindia.in}Belgaum, Feb 2: Police arrested three people and seized a 700-year-old Lakshmi Idol worth Rs ten crore from them here today, according to Superintendent of Police Hemant Nimbalkar. Talking to newspersons, Mr Hemant said the Idol was brought to Belgaum from Trichirapalli and the accused were planning to send it abroad. They were identified as Asgar Ali Tahashildar (35), Lakshman B Kuri (42) and Vilas Lakshman Patil (45). Efforts were on to trace two others. A case had been registered and investigation was, underway, he added.
