Norwegian PM to visit Nepal next week
Kathmandu, Feb 2 (UNI) Prime Minister of Norway, Jens Stoltenberg is paying a working visit to Nepal on February 8, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
There will be meetings between the Norwegian Prime Minister and Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala, CPN (UML), General Secretary, Madhav Kumar Nepal and Chairman of CPN (Maoist) Prachanda.
In view of Norway's involvement in the evolving peace process of Nepal, the said visit carries added significance, Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said in a press release here today.
His visit will focus on seeing how Norway can better assist in helping Nepal achieve peace, democracy and stability.
The second part of his visit will include a visit to a glacier lake to observe how the climate change is affecting the Himalayan region.
