Non ferrous metals up
Mumbai, Feb 2 (UNI) Non-ferrous metals advanced today in Kolkata and Delhi today on lesser stock supply, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange (BME) said.
In the ferrous metal category, Aluminium utensils went up by Rs 300 per quintal while Brass utensils fell by Rs 100 per quintal due to lower buying support.
However, Copper heavy, Copper utensils and Brass cuttings remained unchanged on moderate demand.
In the non-ferrous metal category, Aluminium ingot shot up by Rs 400 per quintal. Zinc slab and Lead ingot also rose by Rs 200 per quintal each due to brisk buying.
However, Tin slab fell by Re 1 on lack of demand, traders said.
Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: copper heavy - Rs 33,800, copper utensils - Rs 31,500, brass utensils - Rs 24,800, brass cuttings - Rs 25,500 and aluminium utensils - Rs 10,800 per kg.
Non-ferrous metals: copper wire bars - Rs 37,100, aluminium ingots - Rs 12,500, zinc slab - Rs 12,800, lead ingots - Rs 12,000, tin slab - Rs 787 and nickel cathode - Rs 1,395 per kg.
