Nicholas Cage threatens to quit acting

Washington, Feb 02 : Academy Award-winning actor Nicholas age has revealed that he will quit the movie industry, because e has "grown tired" of appearing in blockbuster films.

The World Trade Centre star has confessed that he has lost his assion for acting and his career has forced him to become ithdrawn.

"Some movie stars look like they are having a ball, but I'm tired f it. It has made me reclusive. That is an increasingly gnawing eeling in my body," Contactmusic quoted him, as saying.

"When I first started I loved it. One of my frustrations is I ave no control. I haven't worked in a while, and it will be ight months before I start my next picture. I know for the first ime which direction I'm going in and what changes I want to ake," he added.

Another thing that is making the actor take this decision is the ear that his fans are tired of watching him on the big screen.

"For some reason, I p**s off the audience. People who like one ype of film don't like to see me in another," he said.

"Things I did and said early on still haunt me. I started acting t 17, but I'm 44 now and have grown up. I wonder if I am still nteresting to watch if I didn't drink or raise hell, but it's bnoxious to keep drinking," he added.
