MNS activists disrupt Amar Singh's press conference
Mumbai, Feb 2 (UNI) Some activists of the Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena today disrupted the press conference of Samajwadi Party (SP) General Secretary Amar Singh here.
The unidentified activists, who apparently gatecrashed into the conference, shouted pro-Raj and pro-MNS slogans in the briefing hall of the Maharashtra Patrakar Sangh while the SP leader was addressing the media.
Waving the flag of the MNS in the briefing hall amidst sloganeering, one of the protesters wanted Mr Singh to reply to his queries. This led to a scuffle between the protester and the organisers, who tried to push him out of the hall.
Meanwhile, another worker sneaked into the hall and ran towards the organisers. However, both of them were over-powered and pushed out of the venue.
Later, Mr Singh urged the Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister R R Patil to take action against such ''disruptive elements.'' UNI IAS NM KK AS1746
