New Delhi, Feb 2 (UNI) The Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) today sought an immediate order from the ruling BJP in the MCD, authorising affected individuals and traders to de-seal themselves their property and work places, without involving bureaucracy and indulging in red-tapism in order to prevent corruption.

A DPCC delegation, led by president Jai Prakash Agarwal, called on Union Urban Development Minister Jaipal Reddy and thanked him for the direction that despite any judgement, decree or order of court, steps, including de-sealing, would be taken by the local authority to maintain status quo as on January 1, 2006 in respect of encroachment or unauthorised development.

The delegation also thanked Congress president Sonia Gandhi for taking this historic decision, which will give massive relief to the people of Delhi from sealing and demolition drive.

It alleged that the BJP-ruled MCD was selectively applying sealing and demolition to harass the common people.
