Dasmunsi mourns death of Karanjia

New Delhi, Feb 2 (UNI) Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi today condoled the death of veteran journalist R K Karanjia.

In a message Mr Dasmunsi said, '' Karanjia was a man of conviction and a fire-brand journalist. His commitment to his profession was unflinching and deep-rooted.'' The Minister said he introduced a unique brand of tabloid journalism in the country. ''In true spirit, he was free, frank and fearless - that was also the motto of his weekly ' Blitz'.I am pained to learn that eminent veteran journalist Roussi K Karanjia has passed away.'' Besides his professional competence, Karanjia was a fine human being possessing qualities of heart and zest for life, and in his demise the country has lost a journalist of courage and conviction, said Mr Dasmunsi.
