CPI stages novel stir in Puducherry
Puducherry, Feb 2: The Communist Party of India (CPI) along with the people of Kalmedupet village in Villianur Commune today resorted to a novel agitation to press their demands.
To bring the deplorable condition of roads in their village to the notice of the Government, the agitators planted saplings in gutters on the road.
CPI State Secretary N R Kalainathan inaugurated the agitation, which was also to press for the provision of potable drinking water to the village and other basic amenities.
