Coast Guard rescues crew from sinking cargo ship

Porbandar (Gujarat), Feb 2 (UNI) Indian Coast Guard (ICG) personnel rescued all 17 crew members from a rice-laden cargo ship that developed a technical snag in the Arabian Sea early today.

According to Coast Guard sources here today, the Indian Coast Guard personnel rescued the 17 crew members of the cargo ship 'Sidhdhnath' early today.

The ship started to sink due to a technical snag in the rough sea near Baharain in the Arabian Sea.

An ICG rescue team was deployed in its helicopter, which successfully rescued all the crew members of the sinking ship.

The ship was carrying 1000 tonnes of Indian rice from Mundra Port here to Iraq.
