Vishnoi considering filing defamation suit against Cong

Jabalpur, Feb 1 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Health Minister Ajay Vishnoi today said he is considering filing a defamation suit against the Congress for levelling baseless allegations related to purchase of medicines.

Talking to reporters here today, Mr Vishnoi demanded that Opposition Leader Jamuna Devi should either seek apology or resign from her post for levelling false allegations.

He said he was consulting his lawyers regarding filing a defamation suit in this regard.

Mr Vishnoi said state Congress President Subhash Yadav had levelled charges of corruption against his department earlier.

However, no reaction came when he challenged Mr Yadav openly to investigate himself and prove his charges.

The Health Minister said the BJP was focussed on carrying out development. Work on welfare-oriented schemes was progressing on fast pace. The Congress was frustrated with this and levelling false charges.

He said the Congress, which levelled baseless allegations against Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, has been exposed. But it has not learned lesson so far.

Mr Vishnoi said he urged the Congress to abandon mean politics and play role of constructive opposition.
