India pays homage to Father of the Nation

New Delhi, Jan 30, 2008: Indian President Pratibha Devisingh Patil and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh led the nation in paying homage to Mahatma Gandhi at a solemn function at his memorial at Raj Ghat in New Delhi on January 30th.

Vice President Hamid Ansari and Manmohan Singh"s cabinet colleagues also visited the Raj Ghat to offer floral tributes. The homage ceremony started with a prayer meeting and religious recitals.
