Tigers draw tourists to Ranthambore national park

Increased
number
of
tigers
at
the
Ranthambore
national
park
in
India"s
northwestern
Rajathan
are
attracting
tourists,
both
domestic
and
foreign
lending
a
major
boost
to
tourism
in
the
region.
Officials of the park in the desert state said that according to the tiger census in 2005, there were around 26 tigers and they had 14 new cubs in 2006. They also noticed pugmarks of 6 new cubs, which was an encouraging sign for their conservation efforts.
