Luxury train for tourists in Southern India

Bangalore, Jan 30, 2008 : The much awaited luxury train Golden Chariot that will connect Bangalore in Southern India with Goa will start running commercially from March 3.

Indian President Pratibha Patil will officially launch the train on February 2. It completed the first safety run from Chennai in Tamil Nadu to Bangalore in Karnataka. The Golden Chariot, costing 55 crore rupees or about $ 14 million, is presently receiving final touches for its official launch in Bangalore.
