Kidney transplant racket to be investigated

New Delhi/ Chennai, Jan 30, 2008 : India"s Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss on January 30 said that an extensive investigation would be launched into the illegal multi-national kidney transplant racket that has gripped the country.

Ramadoss said that not only would the government amend the National Organ Transplant Act to make it more stringent but would ask Central Bureau of Investigation to carry out an extensive investigation to comprehend the problem.
