Reliance keen on setting up solar power station in Bihar
Patna, Feb 1 (UNI) Encouraged with favourable condition for investment in Bihar, the Reliance Industry has shown keen interest in establishing solar power station in the state.
Official sources said here today that the Reliance industry has proposed to set up the solar power station with a capacity of five MW.
Reliance Industry has sent a proposal to the Bihar Renewable Energy Development Agency (BREDA) for establishing solar power station. The company has also submitted a detalied project report of the proposal.
The sources further said the company has asked the state government to provide at least 40 acre land in adjoining area of the state capital for setting up the project, which will function on the basis of ''Photo Voltic Grid Connectivity''.
The solar power station will minimise the power crisis of the state.
The sources said the estimated cost of the project is Rs 125 crore and it will function like a solar park.
This will be the first solar power station where generation will be in MW, the sources said adding it will also be the first power station based on solar energy.
The Japanese government had already proposed to establish Hydro power station in the state.
