Officials seize rice, wheat from mill

Mysore, Feb 1(UNI) The officials of the Food and Civil Supplies Department today raided a rice mill and seized rice and wheat worth about Rs three lakh meant for public distribution near Bannur town in this district of Karnataka.

Police said the foodgrains earmarked for public distribution was stored in the rice mill for smuggling into neighbouring district. As many as 240 bags of rice and eleven bags of wheat was seized from the rice mill.

No arrest was made so far, police added.
