NMDC posts 35 per cent growth in Q3
Hyderabad, Feb 1 (UNI) The National Mineral Development Corporation Ltd (NMDC) registered a turnover of Rs 3,817 crore in the third quarter of current fiscal, an increase of 35 per cent over the corresponding period last year.
The company board declared a second interim dividend of 231 per cent based on the performance of the company in the three quarters of the year 2007-08, a press release said here today.
The second interim dividend would work out to Rs 305.29 crore, out of which the Centre would receive Rs 300.36 crore. With this, the total interim dividend declared by the company would be 331 per cent, which was the highest second interim dividend ever paid by NMDC, the release added.
Similarly PBT rose from Rs 2,429 crore to Rs 3,389 crore, registering an increase of 40 per cent and PAT rose from Rs 1,609 crore to Rs 2,234 crore, an increase of 39 per cent.
