NABARD sanctions 252 rural infrastructure projects
Hyderabad, Feb 1 (UNI) The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has sanctioned 252 rural infrastructure projects, involving a loan assistance of Rs 262.88 crore to Andhra Pradesh.
NABARD Chief General Manager S R Aluru said that the Project Sanctioning Committee, at its meeting in New Delhi yesterday had cleared 116 roads and bridges, 19 lift irrigation projects, 14 minor irrigation projects, 101 biodiesel plantations and two protected water supply projects, one each for Kadapa and Nalgonda districts.
The minor irrigation projects to be implemented in the districts of Adilabad, Karimnagar, Nalgonda and Nellore districts would provide assured irrigation to 12,056 hectares, he said in a press release here.
