Meghalaya MLA killed in road mishap
Guwahati, Feb 1 (UNI) Former Meghalaya MLA P D Sangma died in a road accident at Chaygaon near here this morning when he was travelling from Shillong to Tura.
The incident occurred at around 1100 hours, when the vehicle he was traveling in collided a stationary truck near Chaygaon. While, Mr Sangma died on the spot, the driver of the vehicle, Mr Sangma's wife and owner of the vehicle were also seriously injured.
His body has been sent to Guwahati Medical College hospital. His wife is battling for life in GMC.
